June Favorites

I now it's a little early for me to be doing monthly favorites, but I'm going on vacation soon, and I probably won't get the chance to blog all that much.

Okay, so first thing on the list is supernatural! (Yes, I know, this was a monthly favorite from last month as well, but I just love this show to death.) I'm currently on season 10, watching reruns of that season on TV, seeing as Netflix would have me wait for almost a year, and I am NOT waiting that long! I need me some supernatural! (I'm kinda sad that the dean-mon only lasted 3 episodes.... I think that they could've had fun with demon Dean.)

Just saying, they totally missed out on some funny demon Dean stuff.

Any way, next thing that I'm obsessed with is NIGHT VALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've been listening to it whenever I get the chance. While I'm running, sitting in my room doing nothing, trying to fall asleep but can't, I really just love this podcast!


Okay, everyone says how great a superwholock crossover would be, but I just want to see a night vale/supernatural crossover!!!!!!!!! That's the next thing I've been obsessed with.


 got a little carried away there, but this is literally the best crossover out there! The night vale fandom is very small, though.

So, yeah! Those are my current obsessions! (As well as glee, but I talked about that in yesterday's blog in depth, so...)

Okay, so I have a new current obsession. You can probably tell what that obsession is based on the tittle of today's blog, but I'll just go ahead and say it any way... Glee!!!!!
Okay, so I'm currently on season 2 (Literally just about to finish the season after I'm done blogging) and I am LOVING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I started watching it because Harry Shum Jr. got casted as Magnus Bane in Shadowhunters, and I heard that he was in Glee. I personally fell in love with him playing Magnus, and just HAD to see him in something else.

(I mean, come on.... that guy is the PERFECT Magnus! I laughed HYSTERICALLY when he attempted to "sing" for the first time on Glee.)
Plus, my parents and my older brother have been suggesting this show to me for a while, and I kinda feel bad for just NOW getting into it, but hey.
And to be honest, I totally expected to hate it, and find it super cliche, but I was so wrong. Glee wasn't really my style- my style being Sci-Fi, or fantasy- but now I can't stop watching it!!!!!!!!!!!
My favorite character so far by a long shot is Kurt. (Sorry, Mike...Aka Magnus)

I just love that he's not afraid to be who he is, and he doesn't care what others think of him. He's so confident in himself, and his fashion choices are so bold!

My nerd catigories

So, you know how a lot of fandoms have a sort of think like "What hogwarts house are you in?" "What faction are you in?" That sort of thing? Well, I'm here to tell you mine!!!!!!! (Including which characters I would be)

Doctor who: I would probably be the 11th doctor, because he's so spontaneous and strange, but has his moments where he's really deep and sad. I love that about that doctor. He has so many sides to him that he's hard to predict, but he's always a lot of fun.
 
supernatural: I would be Charlie!!!!!!!!!! She is totally my spirit animal! Nerdy girl who puts the winchesters in their place! Love that girl!

Divergent: My faction would be dauntless!!!!! To be honest, I don't really get the rationality of being afraid of things. And even though I might die in initiation or something, I have this attitude of  "I'll do anything if my friends do it too." sort of thing. So, yeah, I'd be dauntless.

Harry Potter:
My house- ravenclaw!!!!!!!!! And I am proud of it!!!! I think knowledge is beautiful. And let's face it. I'm totally that girl who hangs out in libraries, will be found with her nose stuck in a book, and will most likely be reading past bedtime.

Patronus:
Sloth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Okay, I have a legit reason for this. To cast the patronus charm, you have to channel your happiest thought and let it fill you up. This happy memory of yours creates your patronus, so this animal basically represents you and your happiness. And can I just say, SLOTHS MAKE ME SO HAPPY!!!! Look at that and tell me it doesn't make you smile! (Now does my screen name - slothinitiate46 - make sense? :)

Mortal instruments: I'd probably be either a shadowhunter or a warlock. More likely a shadowhunter.

MAYBE I COULD BE BOTH! (haha. If I could be one character from that series, I would totally be Tessa!!!!!!!! She's awesome!!!!!)

What "fangirls, assemble!" really means

Okay, guys. Time for some explaining. There is a huge reason why I named this blog "Fangirls, Assemble!" and it's not just because of the Avengers. (Although, I do love marvel)
The reason that's the name of my blog, is because us fangirls really need to stick together and be there for one another. I feel like this blog should be one that when you read it, you realize that it is completely okay to be ecstatically obsessed with something, and that you're not alone.
Let's just face it, people can be mean. I personally hate hanging out with people who make me feel like I need to compromise who I am to be friends with them, and who I am is a crazy fangirl. I'm sure that a lot of you feel the same way.

Okay, now I'm going to change the subject a little bit. :)

Heat of the moment! It's Tuesday... again.

Summer vacation! Yay....  I would be so excited for summer if I actually had plans at all... Recently, I've felt like my life is on repeat. (sings heat of the moment)

If you got that reference, you are so cool! This is my favorite supernatural episode! In which Sam keeps reliving the same day over and over, and it always starts like that. (The gifs above) Anyway, Yeah, my life has been on repeat. This is what I have done for the last week or so:

- wake up around 8:30.

- get breakfast (usually coffee... maybe cereal)

- let my cat into my room, and go back into my bed, eating break fast and going on my laptop.

- while I eat, watch netflix

-take a shower

-go back to my room, and write

-watch youtube or anime, whatever I'm feeling (seeing as I am now almost caught up in supernatural and am waiting for reruns of season 10 to record) 

- then just kinda sit in bed, reading, writing, drawing, listening to music or night vale, and do that until my parents give me something to do.

- go to bed at around midnight-1:00 and then repeat.

Every... day.... I don't know how Sammy did this over 100 times, watching Dean die every time.

Before you ask, no this is not the same tag I did before. :) I was just bored, and though it would be fun to do another tag. And this one has a whopping 25 questions! Here we go!

YOU CAN'T MAKE ME CHOOSE MY BABIES!!!!!! I guess either Malec or Destiel... yeah probably Malec. I ship so much, it makes it hard to choose.
2.) A pairing you initially didn’t consider but someone changed your mind.
I have no idea... I'm a shipper at heart, so I kinda open myself up to all possibilities. I don't know! I'll have to get back to this one someday.
3.) A pairing you wish you shipped, but just can't.
Merthur. (Merlin and Arthur) I just don't ship it! So many people get on to me for this, and I don't deny that they have a MAJOR bromance going on, but that doesn't mean that I have to ship them! I ship Gwen and Arthur. They are adorable.

Er.... I mean, I come up with some interesting head canons which I've shared with you guys, I guess.

Well, I never really leave a fandom, so I guess it's a mater of my FIRST fandom, so Lord of the Rings.

I mean, I watch a lot of anime, but I also watch a lot of live action... I'd say live action because I find it a bit more impressive.

I don't have a tumblr! And this is exactly why. I want to ENJOY my fandoms. And I'll admit that I am freaking insane, but there is a line, I'd rather not cross that line just yet. So no.

I shall replace tumblr with social media. The answer of course is supernatural.... there is no avoiding that, even if you don't have a tumblr. Our fandom is HUGE!

What if... The hunger games isn't real? What if the whole thing was just a simulation like in divergent? Think about it!!! The "tracking needles" Could be simulation serum, and the only reason Katniss rebelled was because she is divergent. Does that count? I don't really think so, I guess that's more of a headcanon.... whatever!

I used to ship sherlolly..... don't judge! I only ever shipped them because the likelyhood of them being canon is a lot higher than Johnlock. I ship johnlock now, though. Thanks, social media!

Ducks!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so in my blog a couple days ago, I mentioned being chased by a duck with my friend...
So, it was about 10:00 in the morning a couple days ago at a sleepover, and we had just finished watching high school musical. I thought that we should probably get up and do something that didn't feature sitting in bed, seeing as that was the only thing that we had done that whole morning. So, we went for a walk in the scorching Texas heat! We walked over to a little lake that she and I like to go to when I'm over at her house, and we stayed there for a little while. We were just trying to go sit on a bench, when 2 ducks started coming towards us!!!!! We ran over to the bench, and they seemed to loose interest in us for a while, so we started to talk for a bit. Then, we saw them coming at us again. My friend actually got up and walked towards the ducks! She just kinda started yelling at them like, "Leave us alone!!!!" So the two ducks swam away, and STARTED MATING!!!!!! And then...  kid you not... the female duck SWAM TOWARDS ANOTHER DUCK and started mating with him!!!!!! The other duck just kinda looked really sad like he was trying to win back his girl or something. My friend actually started narrating the life of the ducks. It was a strange time... bottom line, ducks are cannibalistic, cheating, no good, beasts!

Shadowhunters!

I'm seriously excited for shadowhunters, guys!!!!!! I don't think I've ever been this obsessed with a show that hasn't even aired yet!

The casting is perfect, the sets are perfect, THE SHOW IS GONNA BE PERFECT!

Okay, so I had a thought. Is shadowhunters gonna have a theme song?!?!? Or is it gonna just be like supernatural and have an annoying static sound and a logo? 

But-and this is where I need y'all's help to spread the word to get this to be cannon! The theme song should TOTALLY be a song from Simon's band!!!!!!!!!!!! I honestly didn't know I needed this until just recently. For real, guys! I need this!

Adventures!!!

So, yesterday (and the day before), I had many adventures! I had a sleepover with my friend, who also has a blog! Y'all should check it out: http://trivial-thoughts-blogging.blogspot.com/
So, we went on a walk in the park yesterday, with foam swords, cat whiskers, and kites! That was pretty fun. Walking through a forest, I always get some pretty fantastic ideas for books! So the walk really helped for that writers block I've been having.
So, after that, we got ice cream, and we came back to her house. We then wrote for quite a while, and then played truth or dare! I got dared to say "in bed" after every sentence for 10 minutes... it sounded wrong. To give you a feel of what it sounded like:
We had a lot of fun... in bed. Enough said.
So then, we built a fort, and watched Dan and Phil until we got tired, and went to bed at around midnight... yeah I know, not that late, but my friend needs sleep, as where I think sleep is a waste of time for the most part! A couple hours, and I'm good. Anyway, the next morning, I woke up way earlier than my friend (absolutely no surprise there), so I watched supernatural until she woke up (and I am so proud, because I have made her want to watch it!!!! Yay!) Then, we watched high school musical, and went for a walk in the park WHERE WE GOT ATTACKED BY DUCKS!!!!! (who ended up mating, and cheating on each other... long story, I'll blog about that later.) After being sweaty and tired for about an hour or so, we decided to sit and write for a while. We then went to the mall, and got some super cool stuff! I'll post pictures of the stuff we got from online at the end of this blog if you're curious.
Anyway, then we went to watch Home... cutest and saddest Disney movie that I've watched in a long time! SO MANY EMOTIONS! My friend and I were crying buckets by the end of it. Anyway, now for the cool stuff that we bought!

More fan art and my fan fiction

Wow! My last fan art got a good amount of views! Dis makes me happy! :) To celebrate, here is more fan art!

This one comes with some explaining. It is a drawing of the 10th doctor with a character that I made up named Liz Turner. This is from a doctor who fanfic of mine. 

So, this fanfic features a girl named Liz who the doctor finds sitting out in the rain by the street, crying. He comforts her, putting his trench coat on her shoulders (SO ADORABLE!) and then invites her to travel through time and space with him. He finds himself starting to get attached, so he buries his feelings down inside, hoping that she will not face a similar fate as Rose who has just been trapped in the alternate dimension. This pic is of them on Liz's birthday. They were dancing, and... well it's a little hard to explain without spoiling life for y'all. (I don't have a wattpad or anything so I'm cosidering posting my stuff on here... what do y'all think? If y'all want to read my stuff, share and comment!)

Chapter 1 

Elizabeth Turner

I sit alone by the side of a road as my salted tears mix with fresh rain. The cold is bitter and shakes me to the bone. I grit my teeth and curl my knees into my chest. I check my watch. 10:53 pm. The only light I see for miles is an old street lamp that is slowly flickering off.  A loud clap of thunder jolts me from my sleep. Well... I say sleep.

I haven't actually slept for so long. How many more long and gruesome nights will I continue to stay out here in the streets? 

Just as the thought slips into my head, a weight drops on my shoulders, a heavy yet pleasant feeling of comfort. I look up to see that it is a trench coat delicately placed on my shoulders by a handsome stranger. The man proceeds to sit next to me on the cold, wet ground. He places his hands on my shoulders; comforting me.

He gives me a friendly smile that warms me to my soul. And in that moment, my head grows heavy, and falls into his lap. For the first time in 3 days I sleep peacefully.
